As I have revealed to many of my friends, because many of them have asked, I wanted to be an escort for ten years before I actually made the move.  When I did, I wanted my dream to unfold perfectly!

Of course I knew that my photos would be the absolute most important part of my new endeavor. First, I researched; I read ads of successful working women, their blogs, books and e books many nights  into the wee hours of the morning.  I noticed a name in photography that came up again and again. I would guess that this photographer has photographed about 10% of the women who have professional photos on Redbook. One woman who was obviously successful and beautiful had photos on her ad taken by this photographer. And then another and another.

Rationalizing that as a newbie, it’s best to duplicate what has worked for others and then mold it into my own style, I booked an appointment with this photographer.

The shoot went fine as far as photo shoots go in the technical sense but not particularly well as far as creating beautiful, artistic images goes. This photographer is completely set-up to shoot escorts. There is an extensive wardrobe of stilettos and stockings, at least two prop bedrooms, and, of course, there is the pool/palm tree/smoke machine set up in the backyard.

I ended up with a total of two shots from that day that I think even begin to capture my sexuality, beauty, or personality. There were many pleasant images and there was some kind of beauty captured, it was just not mine. I had fallen into the cookie-cutter-escort-photographey-trap. I looked like everyone else. I even had on the same bikini as a few of the women I saw after the fact! I was airbrushed to beyond recognition which I guess could be argued was good for my privacy but really, I looked like a wax figurine! I had a $400 CD of kind of scary escort stock photos.

I would have been better of with an iphone, and a mirror.
